一般工廠內(nèi)的升降貨梯，所用的馬達多數(shù)是交流三相感應型的，無論是鼠籠型或者滑圈型的都可。為了要有較高的起動轉(zhuǎn)矩，馬達的馬力，常比實際需要的馬力，約大三分之一左右，鼠籠型馬達，多用于低速，而滑圈型馬達，則用于速度較高的升降貨梯。 又有一種變速的交流感應馬達，是在同一定子槽內(nèi)，埋放二套線圈這樣可以得到二種速率。在起動時，用高速線圈；需要減速時，可趁高速線圈仍接于電源時，將低速線圈亦接于電源，然后關(guān)斷高速線圈，將低速線圈的電阻，加以短接。這種變速的手續(xù)，亦可由定時繼電器來完成。
